These pages show my model train layout that I have been working on in my spare time for about 3 years now.  It is not quite finished yet, but most areas are beginning to take shape. The layout shows a double track electrified mainline running through the valley and a branchline  going up into the hills to the village. The plan is fairly simple, because I tried to avoid overloading the scenery with tracks. The layout is fantasy, but it roughly depicts an area in southern Germany at the border with Switzerland somewhere in the mid to late 1960's. I picked this area, because I grew up there and the time because I like a variety of trains. Steam trains where still running in great numbers, but also some modern electrics and diesels started to appear.
The scenery was built with european and american products mainly Faller, Noch and "Woodland Scenics". Track is Rocoline with roadbed.
Rolling stock is mostly from Roco, Fleischmann and Lilliput. The layout is operated with DCC, but the outer track of the mainline can be switched to analog DC, to be able to run non DCC equipped locomotives.
